One of the biggest advantages of IPTV over traditional cable is the ability to run multiple streams at once, on completely different devices, without paying for extra cable boxes. Here is how to plan and set up a smooth multi-device experience for your household.
Step 1: Choose the right plan
The most important factor for a multi-device household is simultaneous connections. Our 12-month and 24-month plans include 2 simultaneous connections. Be realistic about how many people might be watching at the same time — for most households, 2 connections is plenty.
Step 2: Map out your devices
Before installing apps, list every device you want to use and who will use it. For example: living room Samsung TV, bedroom LG TV, kids room Firestick, parent iPhone, occasional laptop. This helps you plan which apps to install and confirm you will not exceed your connection limit.
Step 3: Set up the main TV first
Get your primary TV fully working before moving to other devices. This confirms your credentials work and your stream quality is good before troubleshooting multiple devices at once.
Step 4: Install apps on secondary devices
For each device: install the recommended IPTV app, add your account using the same credentials, test playback, and set up favourite channels for that household member.
Step 5: Optimize your home network
- Ethernet for main TVs: Eliminate Wi-Fi interference on your most-used screens
- Wi-Fi 5 or Wi-Fi 6 router: Handles multiple simultaneous connections far better than older routers
- 5 GHz band for streaming devices: Connect Firestick and mobile devices to 5 GHz, not 2.4 GHz
