Setting Up IPTV on Your Smart TV: Samsung, LG and Android TV

If you already have a Smart TV at home, you can likely watch your OntarioIPTV.ca subscription directly on it without any extra hardware. The exact steps depend on which platform your TV runs — this guide covers Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, and Android TV.

Samsung Smart TVs (Tizen OS)

1. Press the Home button on your remote
2. Navigate to the Apps section and search for Smart IPTV
3. Install Smart IPTV and open it — note your TV's MAC address shown on screen
4. On a computer or phone, visit the Smart IPTV website and upload your M3U URL using the MAC address
5. Restart the app on your TV — your channels will appear

LG Smart TVs (webOS)

1. Press the Home button and go to the LG Content Store
2. Search for SS IPTV and install it
3. Open SS IPTV, go to Settings → Playlist, enter your M3U URL or Xtream Codes credentials
4. Save and restart the app

Android TV (Sony, Hisense, TCL, Nvidia Shield)

Android TV gives you the most flexibility — install apps directly from the Google Play Store.

1. Open the Google Play Store on your TV
2. Search for IPTV Smarters or TiviMate and install
3. Open the app, go to Add Account or Add Playlist, and enter your credentials

General tips for Smart TV IPTV

• Connect via ethernet: Most Smart TVs have an ethernet port — wired connections are significantly more stable for live streaming
• Use 5 GHz Wi-Fi: If you must use Wi-Fi, connect to the 5 GHz band rather than 2.4 GHz
• Update your TV firmware: Smart TV IPTV apps run better on up-to-date firmware
