Our Copyright Commitment
OntarioIPTV.ca takes copyright protection seriously. We are committed to operating in compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and applicable Canadian copyright law under the Copyright Act (R.S.C., 1985, c. C-42).
We operate as an internet service provider and do not host, store, or redistribute copyrighted broadcast content on our servers. Our platform delivers streams through authorized content partnerships. If you believe content accessible through our service infringes your copyright, we encourage you to contact us immediately using the process described below.
We respond to all valid DMCA notices promptly — typically within 2 business days — and will disable access to or remove allegedly infringing material upon receipt of a complete, valid notice.
How to Submit a DMCA Notice
To submit a valid DMCA copyright infringement notification, please send a written notice to our designated Copyright Agent by email at support@ontarioiptv.ca with the subject line DMCA Takedown Notice.
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include all of the elements listed below to be considered valid. Incomplete notices will not be acted upon.
Required Information
Your DMCA takedown notice must include all of the following:
Your identification
Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address. If you are acting on behalf of a rights holder, state your relationship or authority to act.
Identification of the copyrighted work
A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notice, please provide a representative list.
Identification of the infringing material
The specific URL(s) or location(s) on ontarioiptv.ca where the allegedly infringing content appears, with enough detail for us to locate the material.
Good faith statement
A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
Accuracy statement
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Physical or electronic signature
Your physical or electronic signature. Typing your full name at the end of the email constitutes a valid electronic signature.
What Happens Next
Upon receipt of a complete, valid DMCA notice, OntarioIPTV.ca will:
- Acknowledge receipt of your notice within 2 business days
- Review the notice for completeness and validity
- Disable access to or remove the allegedly infringing content as required by law
- Notify the account holder or user responsible for the content, where applicable
- Keep a record of the notice as required under the DMCA safe harbour provisions
Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorney's fees.
Counter-Notification
If you believe that material was removed or access disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our Copyright Agent at support@ontarioiptv.ca with the subject line DMCA Counter-Notification.
A valid counter-notification must include:
- Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district, or if outside the United States, to the jurisdiction of an appropriate Canadian court
- Your physical or electronic signature
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the removed content within 10–14 business days unless the complainant files a court action.
Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and applicable law, OntarioIPTV.ca maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are deemed repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.
An account may be considered for termination if the account holder has been the subject of multiple valid DMCA notices within a 12-month period. We reserve the right to terminate accounts at our sole discretion where repeat infringement is established.
